Directions to Powhatan Wildlife Management Area

From Charlottesville:

    Take I-64 eastbound to Exit 159 (Gum Spring)

From I-95:

    Take 295 to I-64 westbound to Exit 159 (Gum Spring).

From Exit 159 (Gum Spring):

Go South on Rt. 522 for approximately 10-15 miles (you will cross the James River about midway) until you reach Rt. 60 (Anderson Highway).

Turn right onto Rt. 60 West. The road will turn from 4 lanes into 2 lanes. Continue west approximately 3.25 miles.  Turn left onto Ridge Road (Rt. 627).

Proceed south on Ridge Road for approximately 1.25 miles (look for Powhatan 
Wildlife Management Area sign).

 

Make a left onto Deer Lane (a dirt road) and follow it to Base.
